The Great Places of Home Vol. 1

I went out in the beautiful Stanislaus National forest today to do some gold panning on the North Fork of the Merced River and I got to thinking how much I love the area I live in. There is so much intriguing history and so so much rad stuff to do and see.  This place is about only 15 minutes from my house, short hike to where I decided to do some gold panning, farther down the creek there is an awesome swimming hole, that unfortunately after panning my feet were so cold I could barely walk and decided not to hike further and get any pics, sorry. Then there is the historic and amazing Bower's Cave. There is so much history in this cave from the natives believing that the creation of man came from deep in the cave, to the 1850's where locals used to go to listen to an orchestra play inside the cave and could dance on the cave floor.
I did pull a little gold out of that small hole believe it or not

Rev'd up

Few things get my blood flowing more than a perfect bowl with endless lines at some skatepark in Nowhereville, a backyard ramp at your bud's house, or a set of the most picture perfect trails that I'll probably never get to ride. That's just what does it for me. The first few pictures are places I have been already and absolutely love to lay rubber in, Patterson bowl, and my friend Matt's mini ramp in his backyard. And the last one is of a set of trails I would love to ride someday but will probably try to imitate them on my own dirt mounds.

Fall days

Little weekend adventure

My girlfriend took me up to Table Top Mountain(hahaha...TABLE TOP!) for my first time. Awesome views of Jamestown to the east and New Melones lake to the west. Did some riding also and will have an edit of the past couple months on the web soon. And we played a freezing game of frisbee golf on the course in Twain Hart. Good weekends like this should not be as few and far between as they have been.

Table Tops for life!

North, South, East, or West?

Work might be slowing down for a little bit so that means a little time off, unpaid unfortunately, but it also means that it's a perfect opportunity to get out and see what the world has to offer. One problem though, I never know which way to go. Might just fill up the tank and see where it takes me.
